The 2017/2018 School Year was the Worst on Record

The 2017/2018 school year was the worst on record.  35 students and faculty lost their lives in Active Shooter incidents.

As the 2018/2019 school year is upon us, it is our desire to help protect our children, teachers and staff at our schools. More than ever, parents, students, administrators, etc are asking “What is being done for protection against Active Shooter events in our school system?” States are frantically working to come up with a solution to counteract this ongoing problem.  Recently in Florida, Gov. Rick Scott signed Senate Bill 7026 into law, the first gun control legislation enacted in the state after the Parkland school massacre on February 14.  We need to stop these incidents before they happen.  Learn to recognize the signs, provide mental health support and teach tactics that can defuse the situation.  Knowledge and training are power.

The Brumell Group has the capability, experience and knowledge to develop and deliver a sustainable training program for both staff and students. This program will focus on the unique difficulties educational facilities face, by giving teachers and students unified response options based on structure and staff limitations. Studies indicate that an educated and trained workforce can prevent or minimize injury or death.

The staff/teacher program provides in depth education and training designed for a more effective response and increase safety and survivability of students during Active Shooter incidents. The student program provides age appropriate training and education designed for students from kindergarten to high school. Both staff and student programs work together providing a unified response.
